Q: Can you give me a quote over the phone?

A: Yes, in most cases, we can provide an estimate over the phone. Please have the make, model, and year of your vehicle, along with a description of the services you are interested in. For more complex, custom jobs, we may need to see the vehicle in person to provide an accurate quote.

Q: Can you install equipment that I purchased elsewhere?

A: Yes, we will install most equipment that you purchase online or from another retailer. However, we cannot provide a warranty on equipment that was not purchased from us. If the product is found to be defective, you will be responsible for the cost of re-installation. We may also charge a diagnostic fee to ensure used or pre-owned equipment is fully functional before installation

Q: How long does an installation typically take?

A: The duration of an installation varies depending on the complexity of the job. A simple head unit or speaker replacement may only take a couple of hours, while a full-system install with custom fabrication could take much longer. We will provide you with a time estimate when you receive your quote

Car Stereo & Speaker FAQ

Q: Why should I upgrade my car stereo?

A: Aftermarket car stereos offer significant improvements in both sound quality and features. They typically have more powerful internal amplifiers and better sound-shaping controls (like equalizers and crossovers) than factory radios. They also provide modern features such as Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Q: Can I keep my steering wheel controls with a new stereo?

A: In most cases, yes. We can install a special adapter that allows your new stereo to work seamlessly with your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls.

Q: Can I keep my car's factory-installed features, like satellite radio or a backup camera?

A: This can be a complicated issue and depends on your vehicle and the new stereo. In many vehicles, these features are integrated into the factory stereo and may not work with a new aftermarket unit. We will let you know what features can be retained and what adapters are needed when you get your quote.

Q: What is the difference between a single-DIN and a double-DIN stereo?

A: DIN refers to the standard size of a car stereo. A single-DIN unit is 2 inches tall and 7 inches wide. A double-DIN unit is twice the height, at 4 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Double-DIN stereos are often touchscreen units that can accommodate features like navigation and video playback

Q: What are the different types of speakers?

A: There are two main types of car speakers:

  • Coaxial (or full-range) speakers: These are the most common type. They have the tweeter and woofer combined in a single unit, making them easy to install.

  • Component speakers: These systems separate the tweeter, woofer, and an external crossover. While they are more challenging to install, they offer superior sound quality and better sound staging.

Q: Q: Do you sell and install subwoofers?

A: Yes! We offer a wide selection of subwoofers and subwoofer enclosures. We can help you choose the right one for your vehicle and your listening preferences.
